HUNTSVILLE – U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Courtney J. Farrar graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

Farrar is a 2018 graduate of New Century Technology High School in Huntsville.

She completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies and Air Force core values. Farrar also finished requirements for physical fitness and in basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree with the Community College of the Air Force.

Joint Hometown News Service provided Farrar’s material for this article. The news service is a directorate of the Defense Media Activity’s production component and is responsible for the management of the Department of Defense’s Hometown News program.

This program, located in Fort Meade, Md., supports men and women serving in all branches of military service and the Department of Defense.
