Madison Academy recognized as Apple Distinguished School

HUNTSVILLE – In a repeat of the honor, Apple Inc. has named Madison Academy as an Apple Distinguished School.

The academy’s honor covers the timeframe of 2018 through 2021.

“While it is a great honor to be named an Apple Distinguished School, I see this recognition as a tribute to the hard work, dedication and innovation of our teachers,” Madison Academy President Terry Davis said.

To give the award, Apple officials identify schools that have shown continuous efforts to find challenging and interactive ways to stimulate students’ imaginations. Apple Distinguished Schools are centers of innovation, leadership and educational excellence that use Apple products to inspire creativity, collaboration and critical thinking.

Madison Academy’s selection as an Apple Distinguished School highlights its success as an innovative and compelling learning environment that engages students and provides tangible evidence of academic accomplishment.

The “one2one initiative” at Madison Academy provides iPads to students in grades K-8 and Apple laptops in grades 9-12. These Apple devices allow study in graphic design, coding, sports marketing, entertainment technology and engineering.

“We know that our community places a premium on quality education,” Davis said. “We accept the challenge of providing one that values each person while encouraging growth in body, soul and mind.”

Madison Academy is a co-educational, Christian-based private school located in Huntsville and situated at the southeastern perimeter of Madison. Classes are available for students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade.

“Our primary mission is to provide a quality education in a Christian environment that will help students grow in wisdom, in stature and in favor with God and man,” Davis said.

The school’s address is 325 Slaughter Road in Huntsville. For more information, visit macademy.org.
