Community Thanksgiving Dinner open to all on Nov. 21

MADISON – The ninth annual Madison Community Thanksgiving Dinner will attract individuals who are hungry (literally), neighbors who want to celebrate the holiday together and anyone in town who wants to enjoy a free meal.

Inside-Out Ministries sponsors the annual gathering of residents to enjoy food and fellowship.

Dinner will be served in Bob Jones High School cafeteria from 4 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 21. Guests can choose among four seatings for dinner at 4, 5, 6 or 7 p.m.

“The community dinner is a wonderful time of celebration. Volunteers and churches from the whole community are involved and many are being fed — body and soul,” Inside-Out co-founder Deborah Ward said in a previous interview.

“It is amazing to see everyone mingling together, caring and sharing thanks for all the many blessings … and especially each other,” Ward said.

Individuals can make reservations for dinner and transportation (for a limited distance) through Nov. 19. Call 256-325-5193. When making a reservation, indicate how many adults and children will attend and the hour for seating that you prefer.

Volunteers are welcome to help serve the meal and with other tasks. Deadline for registration is Nov. 14. All volunteers should attend an all-hands meeting on Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. at Inside-Out Ministries, 103 Gin Oaks Court. To register for volunteering, visit signupgenius.com/go/4090d4aa8ab23a7f85-20181.

Inside-Out was a 2018 finalist for “Small Business of the Year” with Madison Chamber of Commerce’s Best in Business Awards. In addition, Deborah was selected “Community Servant of the Year.”

All services by Inside-Out Ministries Inc. are provided at no cost to clients and are based solely on need, without regard to race, social status or religion.

Businesses or individuals are welcome to help sponsor the Madison Community Thanksgiving Dinner. For information, call 256-325-5193 or visit inside-outministries.org or Facebook/Inside-Out Ministries.
