Wrestling plays a major component in Francovitch’s life

MADISON – George Francovitch wrestles in the 182 pounds weight class for Bob Jones High School and has a 33-1 record this year.

Francovitch is in the junior class at Bob Jones. “I have a twin brother Cal that is also on the wrestling team. He wrestles at 152 pounds,” George said.

“My mom Sammie is a hair stylist,” George said. “My dad Greg is a yacht captain and also works in a factory and on oil rigs. We moved to Madison in 2012 from Florida.”

Q: What are your favorite restaurants in Madison?

A: George likes to eat at Red Fish Teriyaki Asian Express, especially for the chicken teriyaki with yum yum sauce. “Subway and Jimmy John’s are my favorite sandwich shops,” he said.

Q: What’s your favorite food?

A: Chicken teriyaki with yum yum sauce.

Q: What are your favorite sports teams?

A: Pennsylvania State University Wrestling, Oklahoma State University Wrestling and South Dakota States Wrestling Teams are his favorites.

Q: What’s your favorite sports memory?

A: George will always remember qualifying for state during his sophomore year.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

A: Completing a work out is George’s primary avocation. “I read and watch ‘Star Wars’ (chapters) and hang out with my friends on the wrestling team,” he said.
