Bryce Curtis remembers state finals in basketball

MADISON – For Bryce Curtis, the one sports memory that he will never forget is playing basketball on the 8u All Star team that won second place in the state.

Currently, Bryce is playing with BAM or Basketball Association of Madison. He also has competed with teams in Monrovia Recreation League and TVBA, along with Madison Academy and various AAU teams.

In basketball, Bryce has handled the positions of point guard and shooting guard.

His involvement with other sports includes soccer with Huntsville Futbol Club. He played as attacking midfielder, right/left wing and rightwing back. Bryce also has participated in numerous two-mile and 5K races.

“I enjoy competing in lots of different sports, such as football, running, soccer and basketball,” Bryce said.

Bryce and his siblings attend Madison Academy. Bryce is in fifth grade. His sister Calli is an eighth-grader, and Macy is a first-grader at Little Madison Academy.

Their parents are Matt and Courtney Curtis. Matt owns Matt Curtis Real Estate. Courtney works as a stay-at-home mom.

“My parents moved here in April of 2004. My dad’s company that he worked for at the time transferred him here,” Bryce said.

Q: What are your favorite restaurants in Madison?

A: Bryce enjoys going to Lawlers Barbecue, The Juice Bar and Tropical Smoothie.

Q: What’s your favorite food?

A: Ribs.

Q: What are your favorite sports teams?

A: In collegiate sports, the University of Tennessee Volunteers is Bryce’s favorite team. In professional football, he always hopes that the Denver Bronos will win.

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?

A: Away from the classroom, Bryce likes to build structures with LEGOs, have Nerf gun battles and play football with his friends.
