Hughes Road resurfacing starts Oct. 31

MADISON — Starting on Oct. 31, Wiregrass Construction will begin roadway resurfacing on Hughes Road.

The work will include the roadway section between Madison Boulevard to the south and the overpass bridge for the Norfolk Southern Railroad to the north. Workers will mill the roadway to remove damaged asphalt and then apply a new layer of asphalt.

Officials estimate the roadwork will require one to two weeks to complete, depending on weather conditions.
