Bob Jones homecoming parade set for Thursday
MADISON – The 2017 Homecoming Parade for Bob Jones High School will affect traffic along Hughes Road on Oct. 19 from about 3:30 to 7 p.m.
The impacted areas will be from 100 Hughes Road at Portal Lane and leading north to Bob Jones High School at 650 Hughes Road.
Portal Lane between Hughes Road and Douglas Street will close at approximately 3:30 p.m. Madison Police Department will provide providing traffic control and security.
Units in the parade will start to line up at 4 p.m. on Portal Lane. All side streets and parking lots along the parade route on Hughes Road will close at 4:45 p.m.
The parade will start at 5 p.m. All roads should be reopened by 7 p.m.
The police department asks spectators to remain a safe distance from motorized floats for safety. Officers also urge motorists to make alternate travel plans during this time on Oct. 19.
