Mill Road bridge reopens
MADISON – After causing a section of Mill Road to close this summer, the Mill Road bridge that crosses Bradford Creek is now open to traffic.
The original completion date was Aug. 6, but rain delayed work on the project. The bridge remains an active construction zone, so motorists must exercise caution while driving through the site.
Drivers must be prepared to stop when flag persons are directing traffic.
The former bridge was built in 1937, was load-restricted and functionally obsolete. The new bridge is located near the Bradford Greenway. This summer, Mill Road was shut down from Mose Chapel Road to County Line Road.
City officials will release other updates as the project progresses.
