James Clemens sets Jet Night

MADISON – The staff and faculty of James Clemens High School will open the campus for Jet Night 2017 on Aug. 3.

The event will run from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The first stop for students will be to pick up their class schedules for the 2017-2018 school year. Display screens in the halls throughout the school will state the locations for advisory classes for schedule pickup.

During the two-hour open house, students and their families can take a self-guided tour in the building to find the student’s classrooms for the upcoming semester.

James Clemens teachers will be waiting for visits, and they will explain the content for courses, special project and classroom expectations. Parents also can ask questions about the subject matter that their child will be studying.

At 5:30 pm., an informational meeting for “Algebra for Mastery” (algebra 1) will be held in the cafeteria.

In addition, the “Prepare for Take-Off” student/parent panel will convene in the James Clemens auditorium. This session is targeted for freshman, new students who have just transferred to James Clemens and all other interested individuals to gain a better understanding of the academic and extracurricular life of a Jet.
