Overpass lane repair nears completion

Workers should complete improvements to the westernmost southbound lane of the Hughes Road overpass around March 10. CONTRIBUTED

MADISON – Work to reinforce the slopes on the west side of the Hughes Road overpass is 80 percent complete.

Currently, crews are working on the sidewalk and restoring electrical utilities. Paving will start during the week of Feb. 27. Construction chiefs expect to complete the project around March 10, weather permitting, and reopen the westernmost southbound lane to normal traffic.
