MADISON – Veterans in American Legion Post 229 of Madison will host “Picking up Wreaths” on Jan. 7 and are asking for help from the Madison community.
The legionnaires and volunteers will gather at 10 a.m. at Madison Memory Garden, just north of Madison City Hall. “Come out and lend a hand,” American Legion Commander Carlos F. Woods said.
This project would offer a good service opportunity to groups from James Clemens and Bob Jones high school or civic groups in Madison.
Any individuals, families or organizations who want to participate can call Woods at 256-508-6548 or Larry Vannoy at 256-468-8400 or email woodscarlos12@gmail.com or lvannoy06@gmail.com.
