MADISON – Jackson Stokes is a young man who enjoys the challenge of several types of sports.
Jackson plays flag football with the Cardinals in Division 2 of the Upward organization. He also participates in flag football with the 8U Cardinals at Hogan Family YMCA, along with soccer on the 8U Cheetahs team. He takes classes at Madison Gymnastics Center.
“I’m going to try indoor AYSO soccer this winter,” Jackson said.
In flag football, Jackson has played quarterback and running back on offense and linebacker on defense. (In Jackson’s age group for soccer, coaches have not assigned set positions, so Jackson has played multiple positions.)
“I guess flag football is my favorite,” Jackson said. “I like to score touchdowns and run the ball.”
He is in second grade at Rainbow Elementary School. “I am a Cub Scout in Madison Pack 83. This is my second year of Cub Scouts,” Jackson said.
“My dad Barry works for the U.S. Government as an engineer. My mom Lora works for the Missile Defense Agency as a Program Analyst,” Jackson said. “I have one sister, Josie, who is in kindergarten at Rainbow.”
Jackson is a native Madisonian. “My parents both moved to the Huntsville area after college. They bought houses in Madison and decided to remain in Madison after getting married,” he said.
