MADISON – Students at a Madison elementary and high school helped St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in a ‘sweet’ partnership.
The Jettes, the dance line with James Clemens High School Band, visited their neighbor, Heritage Elementary School, on Nov. 10 and 18 to sell Krispy Kreme donuts to Heritage students.
The youngsters at Heritage welcomed the sweet treats and bought donuts at the entrance to the school. “The collaboration raised nearly $700,” Heritage teacher Ann Iott said.
Traditionally, students and teachers in Madison City Schools conduct numerous fundraisers for St. Jude in Memphis, Tenn. Several teachers and principals entered the Memphis marathon for St. Jude during the weekend of Dec. 2.
