Johnson seeks District 4 seat, City Council
MADISON – Brad Johnson has entered the race for District 4, Madison City Council.
Johnson said he will “work diligently to build sound, healthy and productive working relationships with the mayor, other council members, city department heads and employees through effective communication, openness and transparency while practicing basic civility and sound business ethics.”
He plans “to work together, as city leaders, to effectively serve residents, business owners and civic leaders of Madison. I will remain open and welcoming to input, ideas and criticisms of Madison’s voters and residents.”
In 2007, Johnson founded his insurance business, which “has grown … into a very successful Allstate insurance firm with a large, growing client base.” He has won state, regional and national awards in customer service satisfaction.
“As a successful small-business owner, I know the extreme importance of strong leadership, effective communication skills and crucial and critical skill of wise budgeting,” Johnson said.
He plans to use “those key risk management skills, business expertise and commitment to help Madison’s citizens as a city councilman. I hope to help Madison grow and thrive, while, at the same time, working to protect the city and taxpayers against many risks and liabilities any city faces.”
Johnson plans “to grow revenues by focusing daily on the city’s business growth and attracting large and small businesses, fostering growth of new businesses of all sizes and types and always being a good steward of Madison taxpayers’ money and cutting out wasteful spending.”
He will focus on “working diligently with Madison City Schools to ensure it offers Madison children the best schools and education in Alabama and continue to assure their bright futures.”
Johnson pledges “to work hard to solve the aging, overburdened road system and other infrastructure problems and issues … through new, creative and innovative ideas” and install traffic lights, repair potholes and add turn lanes.
