MADISON – For Tina Beacraft, the City of Madison epitomizes “Community, Leadership and Education.”

“I love all things Madison, starting with Mayor Troy Trulock and Dana Trulock. It’s nice to see they care about the community and that the public matters,” Beacraft said. “The City Council will grab a hammer and work right beside you on a project. Business leaders in this town are wonderful.”

Beacraft appreciates warm welcomes from Rotary Club of Madison and Madison Chamber of Commerce’s work.

“We have great walking trails and roads to travel, thanks to Madison County Commissioner Steve Haraway and all the countless hours that his staff and the great leaders put into our community,” she said. “You never know when you will see Sen. Bill Holtzclaw out in Madison.”

“We have non-profits that work hard every day. Our city works hard to help citizens with disabilities,” Beacraft said. Madison Parks and Recreation Department and Madison Arts Council organize outstanding events. She enjoys Madison Street Festival, Madison Gazebo Concerts and all parades.

Madison police officers and firefighters always are willing to help. “I’m so thankful that we have great first responders, doctors, nurses and community workers,” Beacraft said.

In addition, Madison City Schools go the extra mile. “Our school board is always looking to make our schools a better place,” she said.

A native of Virginia, she was born in Fairfax and grew up in Woodbridge. She later attended Gadsden Business College. The Beacrafts moved from Huntsville to Madison in 2008 so their daughter could attend Bob Jones High School.

Her husband Alan works as a field service Technician with STS Group. Their children are Cheyenne, a sophomore at Jacksonville State University, and Tyler, a James Clemens High School freshman.

In civic involvement, Beacraft has volunteered with Madison Family of the Year committee, Madison City Disability Advocacy Board, Parents With Purpose – North Alabama and Madison Street Festival committee.

Her pastimes include “faith, family and friends; music; church and life group; helping others; and planning events.”
