Madison’s heart beats loudly

From the Publisher

Historic downtown Madison is truly a gem for our city.

The Madison Record’s office is located in the heart of this wonderful community on Main Street. We are steps away from enjoying all of the downtown Madison festivities.

A couple of notable events each year are the Madison Christmas Parade and the Madison Street Festival. It’s wonderful to watch our children cheer for Santa and Mrs. Claus on Main Street.  The Madison Street Festival brings thousands of people from all over to celebrate downtown with us.

These are special times during the year, when we can gather together as a community in a family-friendly environment.

Madison’s residents and our beautiful historic downtown make this possible.

The Madison Arts Council and their sponsors offer us this experience during the summer months with the Madison Gazebo Concert series. These are free weekly concerts held Thursdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on the Village Green along Front Street.

The Madison Gazebo Concert series runs through July 30. This is an opportunity for your family to pack a picnic and enjoy live music in historic downtown Madison.

The music ranges from rock to blues groups and even instrumental groups.

The Madison Arts Council does a terrific job offering a variety of talent for all music lovers.

Food vendors and kids activities are also available during these summer concerts.

This is just one more reason to fall in love with our great city.

To find a complete listing of the musical groups scheduled for the remainder of the series, visit artsmadison.org.
