HUNTSVILLE – Erin Koshut has been selected as director of Cummings Research Park (CRP) in Huntsville.

The Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County announced Koshut’s appointment on June 8.

“We are pleased that a person of Erin Koshut’s knowledge and capabilities is joining CRP as director,” Charlie Grainger said. Grainger serves as chairman of Cummings Research Park Board of Directors.

“She will be a great asset in continuing the park’s tradition of attracting quality research-oriented companies, as well as working closely with existing CRP CEOs and owners,” Grainger said.

Koshut will start her duties on July 6.

“I am excited to join the chamber and look forward to leading Cummings Research Park into the future,” Koshut said. The complex “is renowned throughout the world as a top-tier, high-tech research park that has experienced phenomenal growth because of our strong, reputable and successful companies and organizations.”

Since 2013, Koshut has served as vice president for client services and special events with Crisp Communications in Huntsville. Previously, she worked for 14 years with AkinsCrisp Public Strategies in Tennessee, Washington D.C., and Huntsville to provide strategic communications to support federal, state and local governments and major companies.

Koshut will work within the chamber’s economic development program and report to the vice president of economic development. As CRP Director, Koshut will handle marketing and management support for park properties and tenants and work with other economic development representatives and governmental leaders.

Koshut will work with the park’s board of directors, advisory council, chamber and City of Huntsville on the master planning process.

Koshut has served with the Huntsville Committee of 100, chamber’s National Government Committee, National Children’s Advocacy Center events and Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s Liz Hurley Ribbon Run.

The Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County’s address is 225 Church St. NW in Huntsville. For more information, call 256-535-2018 or visit HSVchamber.org.
