MADISON – Madison Station Antiques has scheduled Picker’s Alley dates for 2015.

The season will open on April 18 in conjunction with the Art 4 Paws festival. On May 2, the sale will coincide with Derby Days.

Picker’s Alley dates include June 6 and July 11. On Aug. 22, Madison Station Antiques will celebrate its anniversary, along with Parrots of the Caribbean party, sponsored by Rotary Club of Madison.

Following the Saturday event on Sept. 12, the last Picker’s Alley for 2015 will be held Oct. 3, date of Madison Street Festival.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. during Picker’s Alley, the staff will slash prices on selected merchandise. Lisa Riccardi Studios, Tucker Lane and Madison Station Sundries also will participate with items for sale.

At 110 Main St., Madison Station Antiques is located in the oldest commercial building in Madison’s downtown historical district. George Washington Martin built the store in 1857. Later, the building housed one of two saloons in Madison.

In subsequent years, Robert Parham Cain bought the building and opened a grocery store. His son, Robert Earl Cain, continued in the mercantile business for many years.
