Kenneth Wayne Jamar January 15, 1956 – February 5, 2015

Kenneth Wayne Jamar, better known as “Ken” was born to Viola J. Booker and the late Laverne Garner. Kenneth departed this life on Thursday, February 5, 2015, at Madison Hospital.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerry and Virginia Jamar; Leo and Laura Garner; sisters, Angela B. Claxton and Melony G. Jamar; brother, James A. Jamar.
Kenneth confessed hope in Christ and joined Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Joe Cater.
Kenneth leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Dianne C. Jamar of Harvest, AL; three daughters, Stephanie Cosby and Kristie Cosby of Athens, AL, and Minister Brenda Cosby of Decatur, AL; one son, Kenneth Davis of Huntsville, AL; a loving mother, Viola Booker of Madison, AL; eight grandchildren, Tiffany Malone, Cameron Cosby, Alisha Cosby, Jennifer Toney, James Toney and Derek Toney, all of Athens, AL, Aprile (Keon) Cosby and Jamison Malone, both of Decatur, AL; four great-grandchildren, Zamaya Cosby, Malachi Cosby, and Keandre Similton, all of Decatur, AL and Tydus Nance of Athens, AL; one brother, Barry Booker of Dale City, VA; one sister, Kathy Suddeth of Madison, AL; six uncles, David (Eloise) Jamar of Montgomery, AL, Raymond (Marie) Jamar of Toney, AL, Ivan (Minnie) Jamar, Ervin (Debra) Jamar, both of Madison, AL, Willie Jamar and Jerry (Gerald) Jamar, both of Huntsville, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Funeral service was held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church (7565 Greenbriar Road, Madison, AL 35756) with Pastor Joe Cater officiating. Interment was in the Thatch Mann Cemetery. Mr. Jamar lay in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
Public Viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 9, 2015, and from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at the Royal Funeral Home.
