MADISON – Discovery Middle School athletes have ended the indoor track season with an impressive record.

Discovery track students participate with their older peers at Bob Jones High School. As a result, the Discovery youth usually compete against older, larger and stronger athletes, yet persevered for solid showings.

Discovery’s Emika Miyamoto is ranked number one among middle-school performers in Alabama for the 60-meter hurdles, pole vault and long jump. Nate Santiago is number one in the 1600-meter run.

Neda Mobasher ranked fourth in the 1600-meter run. Kailyn Vinson was number four in the 400-meter run, and Mith Earman was in seventh place for pole vault.

Other track standouts are Michaela Frazier, Dallis Gordon, Kiara Risher, Michalea Sledge, Chloe Smith, Rylee Wood, Laura Lewis, Rachel Lewis, Dylan Clawson, Evan Willoughby, Mathew Weaver, David Smith, Mason Powell, Abby McCauley, Nick Samaras and Monique McNeal.
