Madison police to stage DUI checks

MADISON – Madison Police Department will enforce DUI checkpoints on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
“We plan to have a safety checkpoint at Hughes Road and Will Halsey Way on Jan. 31, 2013 beginning at 10 p.m.,” Capt. John Stringer said. Stringer works in the special operations division.
“We will also have extra roving patrols for the holiday,” Stringer said.
