Twenty-eight eateries run specials for Restaurant Week
MADISON COUNTY – Diners can spread the dinner napkins and grab their silverware as the 2013 Huntsville Restaurant Week unfolds through Aug. 25.
“Huntsville Restaurant Week is an excellent opportunity to discover new favorites and re-discover those tried-and-true dining establishments we all love,” Judy Ryals said. Ryals works as president and CEO of Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau.
“We’re becoming a destination for dining excellence, and we want to encourage more travelers to visit the Rocket City and discover our exceptional eateries,” Ryals said.
Restaurant Week opened on Aug. 16 as 28 restaurants in Madison, Madison County and Huntsville are offering special deals for lunch and dinner. For lunch, prices are fixed at $5, $10 or $15 with entree and appetizer or dessert. Dinner specials at $10, $20 or $30 feature an appetizer, entree and a dessert.
In Madison, the only participating restaurant is Sady’s Bistro, 14 Main St. in downtown Madison. The $10 dinner starts with tomato and cucumber salad or black bean chips and homemade salsa. Sandwich choices of turkey avocado, chicken salad or Americana tastes can include fresh tropical fruits or side salad, along with a muffin or cookie.
For $20, Sady’s will serve soup and a sandwich with turkey, chicken salad, BYO (build your own), Sicilian ingredients or turkey avocado. Diners can choose between black bean chips or fresh fruit. A crepe or carrot cake will be served for dessert.
Madison Mayor Troy Trulock said Restaurant Week “is not only a great opportunity for us all to explore the best of Madison, Madison County and Huntsville dining, but it’s an opportunity to experience local restaurants on a budget.”
