Adams to bring illusion show to Zompa Auditorium
MADISON – Matt Adams will be “performing illusions and proclaiming the truth” when he presents his illusion show in Zompa Auditorium.
Adams’ magic show on the Bob Jones High School campus will open at 6:30 p.m. on July 20.
Adams has performed for thousands of people around the world in such faraway locales as Thailand, Ireland and the Dominican Republic. “I’m known for my mind-blowing illusions and superior sleight of hand. I’ve been able to hone my art so that it’s equally entertaining for people of all ages and backgrounds,” Adams said.
“I won’t go into detail about all the illusions, but it will be the largest show that I have ever produced,” Adams said. He will use several audience members in some of his illusions and will give one lucky member the chance to float.
Bob Jones drama teacher Mary Davis is anticipating Adams’ show. For Bob Jones’ production of “Guys and Dolls,” Davis enlisted Adams to teach a couple of actors to perform “street magic” in a major scene.
“Not only did Matt teach them but also provided the necessary items to our theater department,” Davis said. “Matt is patient, knowledgeable and fun to be around and learn from. The Spirit is evident in all that he says and does, and all are drawn to him as a result.”
Adams enjoys meeting his audience and travels with his mobile magic shop called “The Mystery Shop.” After the show, he will conduct a meet-and-greet session and sign autographs.
“If you’re looking for quality family entertainment, then this is a show you will not want to miss,” Adams said. His show is recommended for three-year-olds and older.
Tickets are $10 (discounted from his regular ticket price of $26). Online ticketing is available at madisonillusionshow.com or at the Zompa Auditorium box office, opening at 5:45 p.m. before show time. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for general admission seating.
