Heritage plans for Rams Summer Camp

(CONTRIBUTED)

MADISON — Registration is approaching for the Rams Summer Camp at Heritage Elementary School.

The camp will serve as an exciting and enriching summer program in a safe and pleasant environment. The first day of camp will be May 28 and sessions will continue through Aug. 7. The camp will be closed on July 4.

Children enrolled in the extended day program receive priority for the summer day program. To enroll, the child must be enrolled as a student in Madison City Schools.

For the camp, students can enroll full time on a three-day, part-time basis, such as Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Drop-in service will not be available. Children can arrive at 7 a.m., and parents should pick up their children by 6 p.m. A late fee of $1 per minute per child will apply.

Instructors will provide a monthly calendar of activities. Each child is allowed a one-week vacation during which no fees are imposed. The only exemption from payment of fees will be for the death of an immediate family member.

The fee for one child is $110 per week or $33 per day. For two children, the fee for two children is $180 or $44 per day. The fee increases to $240 for three children per week or 56 per day.

In addition, parents must pay a non-refundable fee of $125 for summer registration and activities. Due date is May 1. After May 1, the registration fee increases to $150 per child. This fee covers costs for field trips.

Employees will serve a light breakfast of cereal, milk and juice from 7:15 to 8 a.m., and campers will bring their own lunch. Campers will take field trips for swimming, bowling, skating, movies and visits to local parks.
