Hansel Carmon Fooshee, age 86, died Feb. 19 at Tut Fann VA home in Huntsville.
He was a WWII Veteran and worked in civil service at Mallory Air Force Base in Memphis, Tenn. and then at the Army Missile Command in Huntsville from 1963 until he retired in 1983. He was a Mason of Bethel Grove Masonic Lodge in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
He is the son of the late Christopher and Mary Elizabeth McGregor Fooshee. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Jo Dale Bray Fooshee; a daughter, Rhonda Wheat (James) of Columbus, Miss.; a son, Douglas Fooshee (Kandice) of Madison; a grandson, Clint Powell (Crystal) of Columbus, Miss.; granddaughters, Carmon Murphy (Shannon) of Columbus, Miss., and Lexi Fooshee of Madison; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lany Coleman and Mary Fooshee both of Pontotoc, Miss.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 21 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with services immediately following.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Judes Children’s Home.
