Donald Leroy Smith; July 3, 2012

Donald Leroy Smith of Madison passed away Tuesday, July 3 at a local hospital. He was 57.

Donald was a native of Iowa and retired from the U.S. Army as a Sergeant First Class.

Survivors include his daughter: Sue Ann Moriarty; one son: John Ray Smith; his parents: Russell and Mary Smith; three brothers; two sisters and three grandchildren: Kody and Breann Moriarty and Logan Smith.

The family received friends Sunday, July 8 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at a later date in Nevada, Iowa with burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Collins, Iowa.
