Patriots pound Hazel Green in game 2

Bob Jones defeated Hazel Green Friday, Sept. 2.

Defensive back Rishad Goode returned  the opening kickoff back from Bob Jones for an opening touchdown. The Bob Jones defense only gave up 19 yards to Hazel Green in the first half.

During the first drive, receiver Nick Richardson caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Jeff Moss. In the next drive, running back Kevin Wright had a four-yard touchdown with a minute left in the first quarter, 21-0.

The second quarter began with running back Jay Rogers scoring on the 7-yard line, followed by a 30-yard field goal in the half to make it 30-0.

In the last drive of the second, Moss threw a touchdown pass to Wright to make it 38-0 before half time ended.

The first drive of the second saw Moss take Richardson for a 27-yard touchdown, 45-0. Hazel Green scored late in the game to make it 45-7.

Will Ragland was the last to score in the game, catching an interception and making the final score 52-7.
