Beautification board announces winners

The Beautification and Tree Board announced the winners.

July may have been hot and dry, but the weather did not prevent the Madison Beautification and Tree Board from honoring many outstanding yards through their Yards of Madison program.

Homeowners who braved the heat and humidity are:  Bill and Glenna Chaffin, Edward and Emma Lou Demirjian, Todd and Carolyn Alkire, Richard and Leslie Dick, David and Lynda Profitt, Peter and Kimberly White, William and Melinda Malkemes, Kirk Ringbloom, Steven and Carolyn Meyer, Christopher Bradberry, Matthew and Denise Benzek, Dwight and Juanita Harris, Anthony and Laurel Dirienzo, Gary and Debbie Lawson, David and Susan Kleminsky, Joseph W. Hackett, Sr., Michael and Betsy Speer, Carla Wymja, David and Eileen Berry, David and Karen Ivey, Jeffrey and Nicole Ragan, Gary Kent and Faye Shaw, Erick and Stephanie Luther, Shirley Schipper, Stephanie and Steven Miller, Sandy and Karen Morris, Brett and Kristy Silliven, Louis and Shari Nosenzo, Clifton and Penny Nichols, Kahan Dang, Bill and Susan Bryant, and David and Betty Kelly.

Yards of Madison is a program designed to honor homeowners within the city of

Madison who, by their hard work and dedication, add to the attractiveness of their   neighborhoods by maintaining an exceptional yard.  A certificate of appreciation and  letter of congratulations are presented to those individuals or families who are selected by their neighborhood homeowner associations or are nominated by any Madison resident.

The program is on-going from May through October. Madison residents are encouraged to nominate any outstanding yard they see by going to www.madisonalbeautification.org and clicking on the Yards of Madison program to obtain a nomination form or email the pertinent information; i.e., name, address, phone number and email addresses of the nominee and the name of the person nominating the yard to Elizabeth Cuneo at Madisonbeautificationboard@yahoo.com.

The Board looks forward to recognizing our neighbors who work endless hours in their yards, bringing pride to the city of Madison.
