Michelle Smith joins staff as marketing consultant

Michelle M. Smith of Huntsville has been hired as marketing consultant, specialty publications with The Madison County Record.

Smith has more than 15 years of experience in the marketing and communications field and has worked in the newspaper field as a writer, associate editor, graphics technician, Web master and account representative.

“I am very excited to be part of the Madison County Record’s team of professionals and looking forward to assisting our clients with their marketing and promotional needs,” Smith said.

An experienced writer, she will also be providing feature articles and columns for the paper’s various publications.

Smith resides in Huntsville with her husband, Bill. They have two children, Lance (Lauren) of Allentown, Pa. and Jaclyn of Macomb, Il.

“Michelle is a very impressive individual who has had great success in the print media industry,” said Madison Newspaper’s President Erica Slone. “She understands the importance of serving the customer and how crucial the link is between advertisers and the newspaper and the newspaper and the community. She is an excellent addition to our staff and more so to the community the newspaper serves.”
