Kids to Love supports education and foster children

State Farm is partnering with Kids to Love for their annual school supply drive for the third year.

“State Farm is just happy to be able to help them with their school supply drive because we know it’s helping students who are foster children  and supply them with school supplies,” said Public Affairs Specialist Emily Clark.

The school supply drive will run throughout the month of July.

Clark said that crayons, paper, one-subject spiral notebooks, folders, pencils, markers, backpack and other basic supplies are needed.

Clark said that this year is one of the most important because of the recent tornadoes that have impacted the local foster children and their families.

“We want to prepare these students for when they go into a classroom the first day that they are ready,” Clark said.

Clark said that State Farm supports Kids to Love programs because they are passionate about helping foster families and their children.

“Children are our building block for the future,” Clark said. “To be able to help with excel with their education is a great way that we can help give our small piece back to the community.”

Clark said the past school supply drives have turned out really well.

“We’re very lucky that we have great agents in North Alabama and across the state who really want to give back to the community,” Clark said. “It’s important what Kids to Love does for children, the community and education.”
