Week-long enrichment program targets family and consumer science interest

A summer enrichment program at Alabama A&M University will be held for high school students statewide, ages 15-18, who are interested in family and consumer sciences-related programs.

The program is open to incoming AAMU freshmen who have declared a major in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences.

The comprehensive enrichment program, funded by a USDA grant, is schedules to run from June 19-24.

The free, on-campus, room and board paid session is specifically designed to accommodate 25-30 students interested in family and consumer sciences education,  nutrition and hospitality management, apparel merchandising and design, and human development/family studies.
