Lee Ora Jackson; Aug. 25, 2010

With the quiet elegance that characterized her 92 years, Lee Ora Jackson went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Aug. 25.

She was a member of Parker Chapel United Methodist Church in Madison.

Born in Cleburne, Texas, to Albert and Lillie Schmidt, her life of beauty began. She was one of six children, all of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, J. Frank Clark and Lathan C. Jackson.

Lee Ora was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a symbol of beauty, dignity and courage.

She is survived by her daughter, Claudia Heaton and husband Tom of Austin, Texas; son, Lex Jackson and wife Judith of Columbus, Miss.; and daughter, Nancy Martin and husband Randy of Madison. She had three grandchildren, Carlton Jackson, Carrie Russell, and Cole Martin; and four beautiful great-grandchildren.

We celebrated her life with joy and deep gratitude beginning with visitation at Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville on Aug. 28 from noon until 2 p.m. with the funeral services directly thereafter at 2 p.m. at the Spry Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Taylor officiating.

Interment followed at Huntsville Memory Gardens.

Donations may be made to the Parker Chapel United Methodist Church, 28670 Powell Road Madison, AL 35756.
