Teens arrested in connection with burglaries

Three teens have been arrested in two separate burglaries, the Madison Police Department announced Thursday, July 29.

Matthew Anderson, 19, was arrested July 27 and has been charged with theft of property and receiving stolen property in connection with a burglary report at a home on Hughes Road.

A resident reported her jewelry was stolen July 22, and she later found it at Mr. Gold. Further investigation revealed Anderson sold the jewelry at Mr. Gold.

Anderson is being held in the Madison County Jail on a $5,000 bond.

In a separate incident, two teenage girls were arrested July 26 after officers responded to a burglary in progress call at Carrington Cove Apartments.

Upon arrival, officers identified a suspect vehicle that fled the scene. The vehicle was stopped a short time later and 19-year-old Nicole Neal and 18-year-old Brittany Page Garner were arrested and charged with receiving stolen property.

Three other suspects fled on foot, two of which were juveniles, but all were later apprehended.

Neal and Garner were both released on a $2,500 bond.

The juveniles were transported to the Neaves-Davis Detention Center.
