Alvin Sly; July 23, 2010

Alvin D. Sly, 69, of Madison passed away Friday, July 23.

Mr. Sly was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Bessie Sly; brothers, Marvin and Ronald Sly; sisters, Mary Taylor and Elizabeth Tyler.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Anna Sly of Madison; son, Thomas Sly and wife Rhonda, of Petal, Miss.; daughter, Theresa Sly of Huntsville; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Glazier of Vanderbilt, Mich., Norman Hillman of Davisburg, Mich., and Lila Hunt of Flint, Mich. and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Michael Mahon officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens Cemetery.
