Primrose students invest in Madison Public Library

Dozens of students from the Primrose School of Madison and the Primrose School of Research Park were on hand Monday, July 26, as parent and franchisee Ray Bellenfant presented the Madison Public Library with a $5,000 check.

Bellenfant presented the check to Manager Sarah Sledge, and the money will go towards the new children’s living library garden.

“It’s amazing,” Sledge said of Primrose’s donation. “We have a really good, collaborative partnership, and their generosity helps further the library’s mission into the community.”

During the last 13 years, Primrose has donated approximately $65,000 to Huntsville/Madison County Public Libraries.

The funds raised for this year’s donation were raised entirely by the school children, who collected money through the morals program and a spring fling/family health day.

“It’s wonderful to see,” said Bellenfant of the children’s initiative. “It’s one of the things we really feel good about.”
