Four local students among National Merit Finalists

FROM STAFF REPORTS

Four local students are among the final group of 2010 college-sponsored scholarship winners announced by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

Four students from Madison, including Alexandra E. Arce, Yunyi Long and Tushar Ramesh of Bob Jones High School,  and Alan R. Hsu of Randoplh School, were named as finalists.

The four are among more than 1,900 National Merit Finalists chosen to receive college-sponsored scholarships sponsored by 201 colleges and universities. These students join more than 2,800 other college-sponsored scholarship recipients, including 47 Alabama public school students, who were announced by the NMSC in late May.
