Optimists host SOS day Saturday

The Optimist Club of Madison is hoping its upcoming SOS event will go a long way towards raising safety awareness in the area.
The 12th annual SOS event will be held May 1 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Dublin Park. The event will feature refreshments and entertainment, as well as child safety seat installation and check station.
Other exhibitors will be: Optimists Clubs of Madison, Alabama State Troopers, TVA Police, Madison Fire and Rescue, Marine Police, Madison Police, Hemsi Ambulance, HART Rescuers, Red Cross, The Ark, Med Flight, Huntsville Utilities, Madison Emergency Services, Therapy Partners Dogs, Cooks Pest Control, Sullins Eye Care, 911, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Madison County Forestry Commission, SARTEC, Alabama Hunters Education Association, North Alabama Medical Reserve Corps, Farmer’s Insurance, Huntsville Cave Rescue Unit, Durham School Services, HSDU Dog team and more.
Exhibitors will offer free health and safety information to visitors.
