Young men from area attend Boys State

Alabama Boys State is a leadership program that provides selected high school seniors with a working knowledge of city, county and state government functions. Acceptance to Boys State is a privilege granted by invitation based on input from school faculty and community leaders.
The following Bob Jones High School students recently participated in the Boys State program.
Kenneth Jackson, son of Gail and Ken Jackson of Madison, aided in the passage of legislation.
Brian Ondocsin, son of Lisa and Greg Ondocsin of Madison, participated in emergency preparations training exercises.
Erik Hamilton, son of Becky and Mike Hamilton of Madison, was chosen by the Boys State governor to serve as governor's liaison to the senate.
David Brown, son of Yoshie and David Brown of Madison, learned about the different roles of law enforcement.
Rami Ajjuri, son of Rifat and Sana Ajjuri of Madison, was elected to the Boys State house of representatives.
The following Madison Academy students recently participated in the Boys State program.
Heath Kinzer, son of Marta and Butch Kinzer of Madison, developed a plan for the recruitment of an auto industry.
Joshua McCafferty, son of Susan and Steven McCafferty of Madison, passed the Boys State bar and participated in mock trials to learn about the legal system.
Carl Owens, son of Pamela and Carl Owen,s was elected to the senate.

Jonathan Wallace, son of Cynthia and Manuel Wallace, passed the Boys State bar and participated in mock trials to learn about the legal system.
Sean Gagnon, son of Patricia and Thomas Gagnon, was elected to the Boys State house of representatives.
Jorge Clement, son of Carmen and Jorge Clement, learned about the past and future of aerospace.
Juan Bedolla, son of Lidia and Juan Bedolla, was elected to the Boys State house of representatives.

Zach Broome, son of Karen and Charles Broome of Madison, was elected to the Boys State house of representatives.
