Band Holiday Tour of Homes set for Sunday

The Discovery Middle School Band's annual Holiday Tour of Homes will be held Sunday with seven homes being featured in the annual event.
Advanced tickets for the tour are now on sale and available by any band student. They are also available at Railroad Bazaar on Hughes Road and First American Bank on U.S. Highway 72.
Band Director Johnny Nash said the tour is going to be held in the Clifts Cove subdivision off Hughes Road and several other homes in Madison will be included.
The homes on the tour include 200 Pointe Verde Circle, 200 Ivy Bank Circle, 103 Camden Circle, 104 Lillian's Way, 122 Cheekwood Drive, 137 Tidewater Drive and 200 Yancy Road.
"This is a fundraiser we hold each Christmas and it gets larger each year," Nash said. "This is a community event. People can get dressed up and go look at these beautiful homes and even get Christmas decorating ideas."
Tickets for the tour are $5 and may be purchased at the Clift's Cove Clubhouse on the day of the tour as well.
Nash said a group of band students will be on hand playing Christmas music and refreshments, along with maps of the tour, will be provided.
"As a treat to those who take the tour, we will have a group of carolers in one of the homes. We won't tell you which home it is, so you will have to go through each one to find them," Nash said.
New to the tour this year will be a craft show that will be held in the Clift's Cove Clubhouse. Door prizes will be presented as well.
Nash said all proceeds from the event would go toward funding needs for the band.
"We have more than 200 students involved in our Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, and Advanced Band," Nash said. "We enjoy putting this together and the community has been very supportive of it."
