Land Trust to host membership drive

If you've never seen the Balance Rock high atop Rainbow Mountain in Madison, an opportunity to see the unique formation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 20.
The Land Trust of Huntsville and North Alabama and Enfinger Development Inc. will host a fall family membership drive to benefit the Land Trust with a special guided hike to the Balance Rock on Rainbow Mountain from 2 to 4 p.m.
Complimentary refreshments, including grilled burgers, hotdogs and popcorn will be served.
The Land Trust is reinforcing its need for new members. Land Trust memberships as low as $25 for individual or family membership, provides the majority of financial support for the organization. The organization holds more than 2,900 acres of land in the public trust.
The Land Trust is dedicated to preserving lands for public use to enhance recreation, education, conservation and prosperity in North Alabama.
Directions to the Balance Rock: Go north on Hughes Road, turn right on Thomas Road, left on Concord, right on Stoneway. Park on the end of the road.
